The potential for pharmacokinetic drug interactions between moxifloxacin and theophylline, warfarin, digoxin, probenecid, ranitidine, glyburide, iron, and antacids has been evaluated. There was no clinically significant effect of moxifloxacin on theophylline, warfarin, digoxin, or glyburide kinetics. Theophylline, digoxin, probenecid, and ranitidine did not affect the pharmacokinetics of moxifloxacin. However, as with all other quinolones, iron and antacids significantly reduced the bioavailability of orally administered moxifloxacin
